Anonymous(30-35)+1 yOnly had one boyfriend but uh... No I didn't love him. He told me that he loved me like two months into the relationship. I was like 😧 why? Lol I felt like he barely dated me to know he loved me. I think it was infatuation and maybe he was still in the honeymoon phase.
I think I came close to love though. A few months ago I was talking to this guy. We were just friends and he had this emotional maturity. I've never met a guy so level headed like that before, it was refreshing. He was really funny and so easy to talk to. I really enjoyed talking to him and looked forward to talking to him.
Until I found out he basically faked his entire personality with me. He was using deception and flattery to get something from me and betrayed me.
It totally blindsided me and shattered me emotionally because I was really starting to like him. I ended things, ghosted him. A week after things ended I questioned if I was close to falling in love with him.
I was looking up what it feels like because I've never experienced those emotions before, I wasn't sure if the emotions I felt was love or at least going towards love. Looking back months later, I think I just really liked him. I don't think I've ever experienced really liking someone before lol so yeah. 😅

All love between men and women is deception thats why they call it falling in love

Both genders use each other for their own gains. I have trouble trusting girls nowadays even for marriage. I have read articles online, I have listened to podcasts discussed by women and run by women who state that 70-80% of women in the west especially initiate divorce and take half. I have to be weary of who I choose. I think women tend to think men aren’t loyal. I saw an Instagram post about this that said, men will stay loyal to a sports team for decades, they will go to the same barber for decades. Guys who have trust issues usually stems from indecisiveness from women. Heck even my own sisters admitted, women and females in general can be tough to figure out and deal with.

+1 yNo, I have been in one relationship (exclusive), and I "dated" a guy (we were in the "getting to know each other" stage and went out on a few dates) but neither of them worked out. I have never been in love, and I do not know how it feels. I have been infatuated with many, but I lose interest very fast. I do not date many people, though.
I don't think I would experience "love" anytime soon. I want to focus on myself, but if someone great comes along... and is wonderful enough to keep me hooked, why not?

It's different every time. My first girlfriend at 16 was a girl I loved passionately. Part of me still does despite having not seen her in over 30 years.
My second girlfriend I was with from 18 to 21. We loved each other enough to live together but not enough to get beyond that.
My third girlfriend - also my first fiancee - and I were together six months. Very intense feelings and thoughts during that time. I made some big mistakes that led to her ending things but she made some that stopped me pushing to try again. Don't get me wrong. I loved her and wanted to spend my life with her, but there are things that prevent that happening.
My wife and I love each other different from our previous relationships.00 Reply

u +1 yin love with every woman I've been in a (exclusive/committed) relationship with, yes... (all four of them)
never actually been a serial dater myself, there was about three or four other girls I did get to know very well... but, for one reason or another it did not work out (mostly timing) and in those cases, no, I would not say that I fell in love with them, certainly not one sided feelings00 Reply

+1 yI dated one person and I had a connection with him that involved care and sympathy and reliance but I don't say it was romantic love or pure love. I cared about his looks and my interest in him was not unconditional.

+1 yNo, of course not.
I am prone to extremely intense limerance and that can be mistaken for love by those less experienced but as general rule true love develops overtime with a person so you can't know until after you've already been dating while.00 Reply- 1.2K opinions shared on Dating topic.
+1 yOf course not. Dating is meant to be a method for finding love. That’s why we change terms when we think we’ve found it. I’ve maybe been on hundreds of dates. I’ve gone out with the same woman more than once maybe dozens of times. I’ve agreed to exclusivity with maybe a couple dozen, and had sex with something like fifteen of them. I’ve had an ongoing sexual relationship a half dozen times or so. I’ve cohabitated twice and been “in love” three times.

+1 yThat type of person is usually eager, or even desperate for love, so quickly falls in love with every person they date. That is just a recipe for one broken heart after another. Even if it works for a while they may grow recognizant that never really loved that person, and will then quit it and move on to the next. If you knew a person like this, and their batting record, would you really want to have a relationship with them? And I mean not just to get sex for those who say they would.
00 ReplyAll except one. I was on a rebound and wanted to date someone so badly with the hope that she'd help me forget. She had a fantastic body but a foul personality. I've never known someone who was so consistently angry. At one point, I decided I was done and stopped all contact. I didn't block her or anything, just never reached out again.
00 ReplyNope, sometimes you like a person enough but not love them. I think I've only really been in love with two people I've dated. I think when you simply like or are infatuated with that person, deep down you know it's not going to last and that so is simply passing in your life, which is totally normal.

+1 yI wasn't in love in all of my relationships, most of them I felt pressured into saying "I love you" because they said it first and usually too soon. I realized I never loved one of my boyfriends because he had me walking on eggshells and was always questioning my feelings for him, not giving me any room to develop those feelings.

+1 yNo not really everyone. I loved my ex-boyfriend a lot during our three years relationship. That’s it. Others were just clouds passing by. I had a few attachments here and there but not necessarily fell in love with anyone.

Sometimes you know pretty much after hello that it isn't going to go anywhere, other times you barely make it home and inside before you have ripped each other's clothes off.

Tbh being with someone without knowing if you love them or not feels disrespectful so I doubt I’ll ever get with someone without that initial spark tbh01 Reply- +1 y
Get with someone again I mean, it was a big mistake, may not of loved them but I didn’t want to hurt them.
