My ex has been texting me for 2 months. Does he want to get back together?

My ex moved to States for work and decided to pause our relationship. We weren’t in touch for 3 months until I reached out. He responded to my text right away and told me all about his work, health issues etc (without me asking about any of this). We talked on the phone once. It has been 2 months - he’s been texting me couple times a week, texts me when he’s at a party, told me he’s in therapy bc he wants to change, tells me about his weekends, texts me early mornings, sends me pictures etc.. but won’t talk about whether he wants to get back together. He already knows I have feelings for him and I reached out to him after no contact -
Since he’s texting me consistently now is he interested in getting back together?

Yea, that makes sense. But if he didn’t want to hurt my feelings he’d only respond when I text him. Why would he initiate conversations, send pictures, text me late at night when he’s at a party, when something happens at work or when he’s stressed etc?
Why would he do all this if he’s not interested? I’m confused

You can and should ask him where he stands with you rather than puzzling about it and not being able to tell either way.
