I text my ex after a month of no contact. No response. Is he over me?

So to make a very long story short, my ex broke up with me a year ago. I have been fighting very hard to get over him, even tried to hate him so it would be easier to move on. The last time we were "together" was in early December. It's these few and far between meetings with him that explains the reason why I haven't been able to move on already.

I broke a month long NC just a few days ago. He didn't respond. I was hoping he would, but not expecting it. I have dated other guys, and have done everything I know I need to do. There was a spark about him that kept me wanting more. I feel things ended too soon, we never had a chance to really get to know one another. Let me add that there is a significant age difference between us, me being older.

I know everyone's will tell me get over him, move on, etc etc. What I want to know is, even after "disappearing", why he didn't acknowledge the text from me. I try to make myself hate him, but he was always nice and sweet. I know he had his reasons, but it seems he wants nothing to do with me. A hard pill for me to swallow when it just makes me feel like I did something to make him do that. And if he wanted me to not text anymore why not just tell me? Ugh...advice please! And PLEASE be nice!

Its understandable that your not getting over him because you do keep having these "few and far meetings" and when you say "together" I'm guessing you mean physical as well. That will kill any progress in trying to get over someone. It sounds to me like he knows your going to be there whenever he feels like coming back to play with you. You need to put your foot down and not let that happen. It sounds like he wants to move on but come back occasionally just to see if he has a back up plan and to be "together" with you, once he see's your still hooked, he's gonna keep doing what he wants, because he can. I say you drop him, ignore him when he does come around, you deserve better than this. I know its hard, but do you want to continue doing this for many years to come...I hope not. I can totally relate as I went through this with my ex. I wish you the best in getting over him...with time you will find a good guy who wants to make you happy! G'Luck!

Girl I am so sorry. But with both of you guys NOT texting or talking to each-other for a month seems stupid I don't know why you didn't or he didn't but he would've eventually have if he wanted you. Guys aren't not complicated well most of them. But down to the point girl, he didn't respond to the text because you did not text him for so long. And he couldn't wait any longer and just moved on. If you still very much so want him try to ease in and talk to him now and than :) hope it helps

Thanks ladies. @ abiecolegrove-well, I think it's because I have had such a hard time accepting the rejection, and sending him rollercoaster emotional texts. I'm fine, then I'm not. I used to drunk text, and we all know that's a bomb waiting to explode. I was never verbally abusive with him, just reaching out, hoping to get a response. He has NEVER told me to stop bothering him, and I think that's why I'm so confused. I have told guys to stop texting me. Just can't understand why he won't.

This is exactly what is happening to me , I could of wrote this , Iv done 28 days no contact , then texted him and he’s ignored it I’m gutted , what has happened now? Did you text again or ignore him? Did he come back?
