Is having a camera shy boyfriend a turn off?

I'm 18M and I have a huge problem being on camera. I don't like being in photos, videos or selfies be it solo or group. I destroyed any childhood pictures of myself that I could find, there are still a few that my parents hid from me, the only pictures that exist of mine are for official IDs and stuff. Lot of people tell me I'm cute/handsome/good looking not just girls but guys too and people have this confused look when they find out I don't have profile pics on any social media let alone any posts. I have genuinely tried but I'm just not comfortable with it, I always look awkward and don't know how to pose. Am I just not photogenic?

Now coming to the actual question, would a girl break up with me if I never take pictures by the way. Every girl I know has dozens of pictures on IG with or without her boyfriend, I could never be that kind of guy. So far I've only dated 2 beautiful girls (found it hard to believe that they liked me) but never had anything long term or serious bcz I knew I'd have to leave them when I go to college in a different city or state. Also, am I shooting myself in the foot by not being on dating apps?

Camera shy is a strength to some and weakness to others. Getting judged by looks is just the way it is. It gets you opportunities to convey your person and character. It also can get one inundated with crap.

Not having picture buys one time and gives one a much better sense of the personality that one is dealing with. IF they like me for my words and voice communication then they will like me in person too.-That order works best for me.

That is your call. Do what is comfortable. A photo or no photo isn’t the end of the world. Just give your parents a break and let them have their memories. I hope they respect you on that privacy.
