I’m trying to decide whether I about the height of the guy I’m crushing on I’m 5’7” and he’s about 3 inches shorter than me (though I might just be over estimating him in my head so he might be like an inch or so)

Absolutely not, I’m 5”1’ three inches shorter than me is 4”10’!, professional jocky’s are taller than that! As a short person, I would not discriminate against a guy for not being tall, and would absolutely date a guy my height or even an inch or so shorter, but not THREE inches shorter!

Height doesn't really matter, it's rarer to find a good guy anyways. I have a wide height range so it's usually not an issue for me but if the guy's height was different, it still wouldn't really be an issue. It's something you can work with.

It just makes me feel kinda insecure. Nothing wrong with him but I’m not the biggest fan of my height in the first place. I do like him a lot though so I’ll just have to work on that.

Yeah, that's fair. I think that insecurity would go away though, once you came to love him, and just be around him more in general. It would end up feeling normal and you wouldn't even really notice. I have a few friends who feel uncomfortable with their height and dating shorter people or taller, but after a while, they say it's fine. I hope things go well for you :)
