Girls are picky at 18-25 whereas men can be/get picky at 28+

my sister’s husbands had no relationships + no interest by women at my age then and told me to be patient for something amazing to come. Good things come to people that work hard +patient

My sisters a supposed model, it was his first relationship at 28.

I believe that there is a little truth in that argumentation.

Males age 16 and beyond, up to the age of +/- 35 (give or take 5 years) are not selective at all because they listen and are slaves of their testosterone. They will basically want to fornicate or at least show interest to any girl, regardless of age as long as she has started puberty and is not on her death bed from old age.

Girls on the other hand are very selective because, unlike men, they are very well in control of their hormones and also aware that they bear all the consequences for any act that can put them in danger.

Men become more selective probably by their late 20s and early to mid 30's but again will go back to their way of behaving once they reach mid-life crisis. They believe that they are still attractive to younger girls and will obviously try to pick them up and subsequently make great fools of themselves.

Women on the other hand know that their clock is ticking and will more likely accept a great number of potential men that they would have rejected in their teen years.

I completely agree about being patient. I also agree about being picky in the age range you list. I don't think it is really about narrowing choices so much as I was focused on starting a career. Dating took a backseat for me.

I waited two years before dating my eventual fiancé. I just stayed patient and didn't let being single bother me. I wasn't really looking either. Part of that was the covid disaster that kept most people from doing anything.

One day, my now fiancé just showed up in my life out of nowhere. He is a wonderful man, and I love him very much. That is where the patience got me. So, I can absolutely agree that patience is key to finding something/someone truly special.

Trying to force a relationship never works. It is best even to be patient when you first get into a relation with someone. Make sure that person is worth it to you and shares your values and dreams.

YES this is right. 28 is the beginning of “I’m so popular” and for many guys it does not end….55 year old guys “living the life” with kept girl in apartment of the same high rise in which the corporate for whom we works is housed in.
It’s at all levels. Blue or White Collar. Traditional guy has power advantage at 27 forward IF he’s got his career and mental health together.
