Why would she have her profile listed as single?

This girl from my job and me have been hanging our more lately. She gave me her Facebook and her status is listed as single. I can't be positive but im pretty sure she has a live in boyfriend. Why would she have her profile listed as single?

She may have frogot to chane it, not everone thinks about there sosial profile all that much
Also maybe who picking her up is not her boyfriend? or something of that sort?
