If she's pretty, then confident guys will pursue her. You can't sit scared behind a computer/phone trying to guess the odds, you're just going to have to talk to her and find out if she's interested. You're going to have to risk rejection and not just orbit in the friend zone too. Ask early, anything else is a waste of time.

@incorrected Very popular women tend to not settle for players. Players usually end up with cheaters and gold diggers and women with poor self esteem. She may get asked out by players, but likely would reject them, the paradox is for being single or not, not being easy or not.

Also its not approach anxiety, its politeness. If you think a person is taken, and you hit on them, its rude. So its more about character than nervousness.
