Absolutely not. You don't "need" social media these days. I don't use it (aside from this) and I do just fine in life. I don't want or need Facebook, Instagram, etc.

You don't even have to use a dating app to find a significant other if you don't choose to. There ARE still ways to meet people without an app.

not in my experience... I've "always" had a girlfriend and never ever had social media, and most of them didn't have social media either or just didn't use it themselves
