Am I wrong for cutting ties with this friend?

I was in a relationship with my ex fiancee for 5 years who I was planning to marry. Our relationship ended 8 months ago. We had issues and My close friend was pushing me to end this relationship. I just knew that a week after we broke up he was hitting on her. I know that he doesn't want a long relationship with her he probably wanted a casual relationship. I also knew that he was interested in her before we started dating. I confronted him about it and asked him if he did hit her. He said " not that I am aware of "

This guy is obviously not your friend now... if her ever was or is capable of maintaining long-held relationship. You should stay far away from him and from a distance keep an eye on things. If your Ex does pursue him THEN you know you did the right thing in ending the engagement. This day was coming one time or another. Your "friend" was going to see to it. This is not a sudden kind of thing for this guy. It has been in his mind for quite awhile.

Get on with your life away from both of these two is my personal outlook.
