Am I wrong for cutting my friend (ex) off?

My ex and I dated for 2 years we broke up because he could not stay faithful to me. after we broke up he spent 7 months asking me to be his friend I told him I did not want to do that he left me alone for 4-5 months before coming back around to ask me to be his friend and I agreed. we agreed to end our friendship if i got into a relationship We have been friends for two months now and we have been getting along. He has been treating me better than he treated me while we were together and we have not been having sex but recently he has been distant. He doesn’t text me when I text him he don’t respond and when I addressed it he said I was tripping. I blocked him and told him I would no longer continue being friends with him, because he has been acting weird towards me. He recently contact me from a different number saying I’m overreacting.

Nah, I don't think you were wrong at all to cut him off. Even aside from how he treated you when you were together, his behavior now would make any girl question what's really up.

After all the drama of you guys breaking up and getting back in touch, him suddenly getting distant like that without explanation is whack. No one wants to play games trying to figure out what dudes are thinking, you feel me?

And the fact that he wouldn't even give you a straight response when you brought it up, acting like you were trippin'? That's bogus behavior from a supposed "friend." Shows he wasn't really tryna be real with you.

Plus you set a clear boundary that if you started dating someone else the friendship would end. So blocking him and sticking to what you said is sticking up for yourself, which is important.

Dude probably just wants attention and is salty you cut him off. But don't let him gaslight you - following your gut was the right move here. You don't need that mind game crap in your life, on god.
