Why are women so competitive with each other? Why don’t they just work on becoming better than just knocking other women down?

No clue and it really is such a girl thing. I know people like to say oh girls and guys aren't that different blahblah but we really are. I think guys are very simple whilst girls like to complicate. And I'm speaking from my own experience too, girls are just plain old bitchy in general. I remember me and another of my girl friends were talking about someone we didn't like, mostly because of a 'feeling', and our guy friends were so confused about that

It's like something is wired in us to be complicated and kinda fake sometimes, I have no idea why. I'm sure we can say upbringing or patriarchy or whatever but really?

I think it really depends on who you are as a person and your own values and why you would be so jealous or hating of something that you would knock them down - I think girls are just more intuitive whilst guys judge based on what they actually see or hear

Purely speaking about those that make problems or project hate unnecessarily, some people just get in their own way by their ego or insecurities. They operate from this place of pain or anger. Where other people are able to see outside of themselves, and consider the other’s perspective or bigger picture to a situation. Sometimes it comes down to immaturity. It’s easier to lash out, judge, blame, etc someone else than to acknowledge things in yourself let alone do the work on yourself.


I choose to remove or keep distance from such people in my life no matter who they are (even relatives). I just don’t engage in it. Negativity/hate/drama are not worth my peace, energy, or time. I surround myself with people that build each other up, want others to succeed, and are happy for others successes or life changes. Definitely easier said than done sometimes, it isn’t easy developing those boundaries, I’m still working on that every day.

You're not going to like this, but- natural selection. If you look at the societies of other primates, you'll see that the level of cooperation between groups of adult males among humans is a HUGE oddity. You have (or had, forty thousand years ago) better odds of having more children who survive to adulthood if you treat other women as competition.
