We have the 4th date... its normal to ask him if we are in a relationship?

So we used to be childhood friends and haven't met each other for years. But we met casually some weeks before... and we went on a date and ended up kissing each other.. -Now we have the fourth date... always at the end of the date we french kiss and cuddle... our convo is pretty good too.

I said to him when we start speaking that we need to know each other first... but last time when we were joking he said to me laughing that we could have an interesting relationship.. when I asked him why we couldn't have it right now than (laughing), he said to me is too soon.

I don't know where we stand... I'm not used to the world of dating and I lack experience.. Now I'm in panic cause it looks like me like a 'friends with benefits kind of thing.

I must add that he is to respectful and we never talked about sex and our convo is not related to that... HE treats me so well..

Sometimes the best way to handle a situation like that is to ask yourself if you really gain anything from getting an answer from him. You’re having fun, you’re spending time together, and there’s clearly an on-going desire to keep in contact. There’s no real need to define things yet, and he’s already told you that he’s still feelings out.

In my opinion, you shouldn't be afraid to ask for what you want and claim it! Tell him that you want a relationship and how you feel like you are like friends with benefits now and see what he says. If he asks for more time, ask him how much? In any case, be very clear with him!
