Is it okay to share dessert in first date?

I'm thinking about ways to ask this guy out. I know he likes sweets so I want to ask him to go with me to this nice cafe that has dessert.

I'm planing on saying something like "Hey, there's this place with nice desserts but I don't like eating desserts alone, would you join me to try it out?"

My question is, I don't like sweets that much and will probably ask if he wants to share one dessert and a different thing like some salty baked goods. I ALWAYS share dessert with friends and it feels nice. Would it be okay or should we each get our own dessert?

I think this is a very sweet thing to do. I would highly appreciate doing something like that with a lovely lady. And if he is not into it, then it's a good indicator that he may not be the guy for you.

As the guy I would probably order my own as well, but would share with you also, and what's not eaten in the end will be fine with me. Of course, I would pay.

The current girl I am dating have been out 5 times, but each time we have shared food off of each other plates. On the first date she asked me what I was ordering, I told her and she said she loved that... then asked if I like something else on the menu. I did, she asked if she ordered this other dish if we could share with each other. I was totally okay with that, and it was super fun.

So now it's like our thing, we order different things and share with each other. It super sweet and fun. It is like getting two meals for the price of one.

Sure, why not? If the vibe is right, no one is sick, and the dessert is good; why turn the best part of the meal into a whole thing?

Don’t get too far ahead of yourself just yet, you have to get to the first date before even thinking of all that lol. But if things work out and you two do end up at this cafe, I would just say to go with the flow. Keep in mind that this isn’t an outing with your friends, who you already know what to expect. Give him a chance to decide if there’s anything separate he wants to try or maybe offer to share a side dessert, not a main. But these are small, unimportant details. The main thing is getting to the date at all.

yeah that sounds sweet sharing dessert thats a lovley thing looming it each other as you take a spoonfull of cake with ice cream with double cream and put it in your mouth a show them how delisious the cake is and its a lovley thing i think sounds sweet to share dessert
