If this is the case, it could be attributed to how feminism created this idea that man's behavior is ad inevitable or biologically determined. He can't help but to do wrong -- such as cheating -- because it's just how how men innately are as people. It's worked to elevate women to this status of innate excellence and so, the obligation of forgiveness is more on her. As per usual, it's not our fault and women need to challenge the idea more than just thinking it's because of sexism towards her.

I've never really come across what you are noticing, though. If anything, I've seen far more women celebrated or even encouraged to cheat. I've even seen people defend the female cheater by assuming that the male probably deserved it, wasn't satisfying her sexually, etc. It might just be a difference in perspective depending on gender. You, presumably being female, are probably more likely to notice when your own gender is being slighted far more often than you would when men are treated unfairly instead.

Perhaps in a predominantly male circle of friends, if a man in the group had been cheated on then his male friends are naturally going to stick up for him by insulting her, assuming it wasn't one of his 'friends' who betrayed him. But the same could be said for a female social group.

But, mostly, I see men being shamed at least just as much.

There is some truth that more women tend to take back cheaters than men. I think it's for the pure reason that a man's fear is that he ends up raising some other man's child. Meanwhile a woman's fear is when the man actually ends up not just cheating but loving the other woman, which means he can leave his girlfriend/wife for the other woman.

Though my dad forgave my mom long ago. She cheated with his friend way back in 1992; both were 20 year-olds at the time. Then he still marries her 4 years later, in 1996. He started trusting her back after he tested me (shortly after I was born) twice and both times it came back 99.99 positive. I am indeed his child. He had a revenge affair thought (in 2000) but then they worked it out again. And well they're still together and stronger by now. I guess some people can work it out.

All my life I've never heard of where women have to"forgive and forget" when a man cheats. However, I have heard it quite a bit where it's the man's duty to take back a cheating wife and the woman's responsibility to "kick a man to the curb for being a dog." Not only have I've heard this in discourse, but it was quite common to see and hear this mantra uttered on all the 90s talk shows. With that said, I don't know where this idea of yours comes from when a woman cheats she's a hoe and when a man cheats she has the duty to take him back.

Because women don't swindle men into sex by breaking down their emotional barriers.

Women have sex after building what they think is a genuine connection.

In other words, a man just wants to have sex, maybe even disrespect a the partner in question in a way they would never do to their wife.

These things are in our biology but it's in a woman's biology to be respectful and loyal to the man they believe is going to protect and serve them.

So a woman cheating is literally a biological indicator that she subconsciously thinks that a stranger is a better prospect for her than the man she's with.

That's not always true. I had myself a girl a few years ago. Always said she wasn't ready for sex, so I waited. She eventually had sex with another guy. I found out.
