Why do people say “men are visual” women are as visual as men. Why say that then?

Based on various convos I’ve had with different women around my age, women are visual, but perhaps in a different way. Women are maybe just as prone as men to find the opposite gender attractive/hot etc; but I’ve gathered that men are more likely to be turned on or otherwise aroused based on visuals alone, whereas women often prefer (or need) a more emotional connection prior to being turned on or desiring physical intimacy. I’ve also gathered that not ALL women are like that. It seems that there’s not a universal rule, but rather general tendencies.

Because men are usually more visual in terms of finding their idea men and women while yes women are also visual but not by a lot.

Most women only find men and other women like super hot in the physical department like five or ten percent of the time while us men on the other hand can talk about women and other men like all day or all night.

Because women don't want to appear shallow so they never directly say it. Instead they use code like "I just don't think about you in that way".
