Why does online dating seem to be less successful than traditional methods of meeting partners?

Based on my observations I found that online dating through apps or websites tend to be less successful long term than traditional means of dating like meeting through mutual friends, meeting through work/school.

It's a numbers game. It's just like online poker. You're going to see 3 times as many hand is the same about of time. So naturally you're going to lose more (so you should be folding more).

Look at the sheer numbers of the opposite gender. If you're a guy that means instead if getting rejected 9 out of 10 times you're probably going to get rejected 99 out of 100 times. And if you're a woman you're probably going to meet a lot more frogs. Welcome to the meat market that is online dating. 😆😆😆
