How to communicate relationship needs without coming off as being needy?

Hi all,

I've been seeing this girl for around 2 months now, but feel like I prioritize her more than she does for me.

For example, for Christmas, I had her present wrapped in gift paper. She wasn't expecting it and did get me something in return, but it was in a brown paper bag.

She also gave me a mini-plush toy that's apparently a favorite of hers, but its a bit torn... I mean both these things show lack of effort doesn't it?

She's in her late twenties and has never dated so I am seeing her actions as inexperience. After all, its a learning curve.

Plus, she lives on an island and loves staying there - fair play, but shouldn't she be at least making an effort to leave the island just to see me, instead of only visiting when she's off the island for other things i. e. meeting other friends and groceries.

I feel like I should tell her that I hope she also pays me as much attention as I do for her? Or should I just end it?

I don't want to come off as being too needy.

Thanks
