Why would a guy friend want me to meet his family?

His parents live over seas, but have come to visit for the holidays. He has suggested on multiple occasions that he wants me to meet them... I'm thinking there's more to this than just wanting to be friends? am I correct? Some helps please?

I met his family last night, all very lovely. I should’ve made this clear, I do have a slight crush on this friend. So I was trying to understand if his intentions were the same.

It doesn’t necessarily mean anything more than you’re a good friend in his life. All of my friends have met my family, but that never meant I was romantically interested in those friends.
