Why is he ignoring me on purpose?

So this guys and I have been on and off for 4 months. His pretty shy. I explained to him I want to get to know him more. He got a bit made at me saying he wants more. He then started ignoring me. Then re messaged me after 3 weeks no contact. Then he was lingering around my work place a month later. So I reached out, we met up, it was fun. Then he went silent again for 2 weeks then lingered around my work again. His just come today with 3 weeks no contact. What is going on? Is he scared of rejecting. Is he playing me? I'm so confused.

It is likely that this guy so fears rejection that he will not allow himself to care or commit. This fear is so pervasive these days that basic friendships or any other form of relationship are never made. It is beyond fragility and frightens me as one like this is not one I would want to be involved with. Plus, it may be psychologically related and his actions lean me in that direction. I would move on.

Sounds like he’s playing games. Especially if he’s getting mad at you, not sure why. Sounds like he’s got other things going on which leaves you as backup so I’d do my own thing if I was you. All the best
