When I first heard this expression as a kid, I did not understand it. But now that I am older and supposedly wiser, I truly understand it now.

I will always be an advocate of taking risks to better your circumstances within reason. Gambling and losing money is never good. But if you have a goal to be a comedian or singer, then you are going to have to do open microphones and get over your fears of talking to an audience and overcoming stage fright.

Because their are two types of people. All talk and no action, and those who go after their goals and dreams.

So if you find this guy cute and would like to get to know him, then go for it! The worst he can do is say no. And if that happens, it will not be the end of the world. There are plenty of men out there who will not say no.

I asked out a woman that I found sexy at work, but I learned the hard way that she is lesbian. It sucked for a hot minute. But I accepted her for who she is and were still friends at work.

She might have even lied to me and I am okay with that because at the end of the day I am just not her type. But it was better for me to find out instead of wasting time and energy wondering "what if".

So I feel in confident in telling you regardless if you are a woman or a man. Always take the risk on getting to know someone and never let fear cripple you from asking someone out.

Also, you know your self better than anyone else. So do not listen to others opinions on the person you are interested in. They do not know your tastes as well as you. If you find a guy attractive and your friends think he is creepy. Focus on your feelings and gut intuition. As long as you feel safe with the other person and you enjoy spending time with this person, then that is all that matters. Forget the world and every one else's opinions. Just focus on what you want, because at the end of the day... only what you want matters to you.

This is not weird at all as Bartenders get that at least twice a week. Do not give out your phone number. In fact, just an email so that he must demonstrate Effort before he can sit and watch your Online Junk without a date. Smile, soft eyes, etc…

Honestly play it cool. it can be super uncomfortable and awkward if the person isn't interested.

I had a customer ask me out for a drink once whilst I was working and he was old enough to be my dad. I felt really uncomfortable and scared as he was really aggressive with it too and called me a uptight bitch when i said no in front of my manager who completely ignored it.

Just write your number or social on a piece of paper or something with a message like text me or something
