Is the male barista at my local coffee shop into me?

The barista at my local coffee shop is really hot, is good with eye contact and we have really good conversations. We enjoy similar things and have similar political views. He teases me frequently which makes me think he like me simply as a friend. The first I time I came in he gave me my order for free and the next time as well, he tried to do it again but I insisted on paying for what I had ordered. He has covered some of the payment at times I've come up short. He does have a girlfriend but every time he mentions her its in an off handed way. Whenever I come in he tells me about things going on in his life and seems genuinely interested in what's going on in my life. I would have directly approached this and just asked him if he didn't have a girlfriend but I keeping getting mixed signals and am confused. Is he into me or am I reading way to much into this?

Ah, the coffee barista challenge of: “Do they like me or do they like my tips?”
I’ve met some really friendly baristas. I’ve been going to one shop for almost 4 years and I know most of the girls that work there by name. Two of them are extremely friendly and seem genuinely happy to see me every day, they’ve helped me out, given me free shots, reduced prices, some free drinks, but I’m also usually good tipper and considering the job, it’s more than likely they know how to treat good regular customers to keep them coming back.


In your situation I wouldn’t push anything. Considering he’s mentioned he is seeing someone, he may be attracted to you, but I wouldn’t consider that an invitation to pursue anything. I think he’s just being friendly.

Thanks, that what I had been thinking and I've got interesting luck to say the least with guys and friends and people in general so it's really nice just to have someone to talk to occasionally.
