My friend still talks to her ex and mentions other guys she’s into sometimes, and she has a boyfriend. Is this wrong?

Yeah that makes sense. I don't know I was also going through a lot last year and brought it up to her. I just have my own issues to work through and not sure if she’s the right person to have on my self improvement journey.

It is bad to still have contact with an ex. It is disloyal and leads to problems with their current and future relationships.

I think what she is trying to do is 1. Let the guy know she’s thinking of him even in this and 2. She wants that guy to hit on her or reclaim her.

She coukd also trying to feel desirable if her current guy is neglecting her with attention or emotionally.

Well I don’t really date or have a romantic life right now - so I don't know if it’s a way for her to like act like she’s above me in this way or to make me jealous. She brags about things guys say about her or do for her.

Oh, I see. It's just like the guys and out hierarchy. Credentials (Creds)... inter-boy competition with supporting texts and voicemails etc. It sounds like she is bragging. What she is doing is dreadfully WRONG. Do not be impressed but be fearful as one of this sort will go after one you may like. You may want to reevaluate your friendship if you have evidence that she likes to beat you in everything...

She never shares anything super private about herself or if she’s insecure about something with herself. I feel like she’s afraid to not look perfect to me but I could be wrong.
