There are so many signs, where I have a pretty good idea, she is shifting into girlfriend status. Kisses me intensely, meet my family?, always around or I am near something you need anything, "crazy person" smiles, her girlfriends freely approach me if I run into them... with light quiz.

@Danael31 Actually, you are assuming facts not in evidence. Nowhere did @Screenwriter say assume, or even hint that she believed there was any relationship currently in-place. She gave solid advice using two possible scenarios to illustrate her point. She was also, at all times calm and collected. There is nothing wrong with advising another woman to not waste her time on a man whom for whatever reason, she has a reason to mistrust.
