We met up two times in a public setting and he's clarified that he doesn't do hookups (neither do I). I'm not looking for anything casual either (friends with benefits/fuck buddy), so I'm not sure what to think about this date setting. Should I ask what he's expecting? That was ONE person. Who actually lied about his intentions with me. He lied about being exclusive and we didn't have sex on the first night either. So tbh, I wouldn't even classify it as a hookup

No. He did cross my boundaries, but didn't take me. I told this guy I don't have sex until exclusivity is discussed. He agreed, told me he we were exclusive, and then I let my guard down on the 3rd date. He ghosts me after that and I also find out he's been active on tinder the whole time.

I don't know. Online dating and hookup culture has ruined things. And a lot of people would say that expecting exclusivity from the get go is asking for too much. I don't know the rules anymore and quite frankly, I think I'm about ready to give up on dating.
