Why did my ex lie & say he didn’t want to date anyone for a while until he’s sorted himself out & then next thing he’s dating someone else already?

I just don’t see the point to lies. They actually hurt more. It’s exactly not rocket science. Tried to say if he was ready for a long term relationship it would’ve been with me 🤦🏼‍♀️.
