Yes but do it not because ages are X and Y, do it because you have a genuine interest in that person. Not for any other reason. The age isn't relevant until it becomes an obstacle in your relationship owing to generational or maturity compatibility issues. Just be prepared for people to be snarky and judge about the age different.

Imagine if this was your future son or daughter who is 18 wanting to date a 24 year old. Would you be okay with it? I don't feel you should go for it, sorry but to me an 18 year old is still a child where you are an adult.

Older men have been doing this for decades and some people have grown to live with it… at least from what it seems these days. Their like omg “she’s an adult” “shes 18” blah blah blah but honestly it is true but I feel like as long as the relationship is consensual that’s what counts at the end of the day, nobody can pick and choose for their kids, they can hope they don’t get hurt and wish the best, he’s also pretty mature for his age even tho I know 18 is still young.

I would hope my future children would date someone close to their age or have someone not much older but like I said it wouldn’t be my choice as long as they feel happy, I’ve seen couples with 10-20 year age gaps and happy in love, I feel like 7-8 years is nothing compared to those huge gaps
