Do you judge a date for the car they drive?

Question

I don't judge people about their cars in general, and my wife didn't even drive until a few years ago, despite being fairly obsessed with cars myself.

However, I've noticed that people do judge the car I drive when I pick them up, especially women. They express admiration or make a joke about how politicians are always paid too much; but when I say it's actually paid for by my family's company I get some "witty" remark bordering on derision. At this point when I get asked questions I just say it was expensive and change topic.

Despite girls making derisory comments on the men who own powerful/expensive cars. There is no doubt the little darlings are interested in men who own powerful/expensive cars. At least they immediately know that this man can at least go into a lot of debt and the loan company has validated he has a superior cash flow.

I have known a girl who reverse discriminates and is only interested in men who drive station wagons. She considers that type of man to be more practical and more likely to be family oriented plus less likely to be a player who impresses girls with a flash car.

Win some, lose some I guess.

Of course, if a woman is driving an old, delapidated vehicle, it tells me something about her financal position, but I don't judge her because of that. I have dated women who worked as waitresses and lived from paycheck to paycheck, and I have dated women who had mllions of dollars.

No plus every woman I've ever dated hasn't had a drivers licence so it'd be weird to be judged on something so superficial by someone who doesn't have to worry about the price of maintaining a vehicle
