What’re the reasons men stay in touch with their ex here & there if they’re in a new happy relationship?

Often people keep an open communication with their Ex just to see how their life is going. Sometimes, it is to compare who is "doing better". Other times the watching is a sort of spying where one party still likes the other one. He or She could never get over their former partner.

Either way, I think it is better to completely cut ties and move on with life. If you happen to run into one another this is one thing, however, actively seeking them out and maintaining a failed relationship is not good.

I stay in touch with a couple of them because I still like them. They are fine people, but the relationship didn't work out. There are a couple of others I wouldn't mind speaking with, but I'm not going to force it.

No, I'm happy to converse with them. We're all in long-term committed relationships.
