There’s many reasons exes keep in touch. In your case it could be because he feels stupid for what he did and hopes you’ll take him back but if you do then that tells him that he can keep doing it. He wasn’t happy with you and he’s not happy with her. He’s not happy with HIMSELF. I would leave someone like that alone because he’s only going to end up hurting you and whoever else even more because he’s an unhappy person. No one can change that but him. My advice is to not feed into anything he says because just like you said he made the choice so he needs to deal with it and you move on with your life and find someone who respects you.
There could be lots of reasons. . *Some people can't or don't appreciate what they have until it's gone-but if that was the case here he wouldn't STILL be messing with the other girl... *Some people can't handle being the one dumped, instead of the one doing the dumper-the ego thing... *Some people are just players and will try to play as many as will fall for/put up with the games... They do. The reason why women forget easily and also find someone else quicker, it's because they create resentment before the before the break-up. Every little things, supposed to be "challenging" before (not texting back, snore while sleeping, be stingy sometimes, I don't know just every little things) they suddenly became a reason to dump you. And girls also remember this, if your ex come back (which they always do) it's because they don't create resentment. Male don't do this. Resentment is the accumulation of impulse that made you think : "from now, I have a reason to leave this person and not to come back".
Fiest of all your ex is your ex for a reason, never forget the reason. This guy right now wants which I like to call "two at for one". He got her now he wants a second one at the same time maybe even thinking to have a threesome with the new one and you. Just go to your mobile phone station or whatever you got a mobile contract and let block his ass. He's a narcissist - it's ALL ABOUT HIM and what HE wants, and he thinks he deserves whatever he wants whenever he wants it. When you left and cut him off, it's like you took away his toy, and he's throwing a kind of tantrum because he wants it back. Sure, he may lose interest after 15 minutes, but right now, he's just upset that it was taken away from him.
in my opinion, you need to stay away from him, don't respond, block him, etc. Maintain a clean break from him, because he's not good for you and will only hurt you again.

block his number immediately, you definitely don't need that kind of negativity. He might not be trying to hurt you, just make himself feel better. If you willingly walk into a relationship after cheating has happened, it will be toxic, you will loose your confidence you will have depression, and by the time you realize how bad for you it is you will have a very hard time going back on track, so don't do it.. But then again its useless to tell people this, ig you understand it after you experience it.
Exes generally contact you for 2 reasons. They wanna get back together Or They wanna rub it in your life with how better off they are.
I'm guessing he wants the first.
There's a third and more rare reason of them wanting to be friends which sometimes works cause certain people are better off as friends. But this could sometimes also have an ulterior motive of them wanting to get back together again.

Giiirl... Someone who loves you wouldn’t put themselves in a position to lose you. He is playing. Again. He wants to have a backup plan with you. He cheated once, he will do it again. Never trust a cheater and never underestimate chater’s ability to make you feel guilty for his mistakes.
Bruh block him on social media and block his number. He is trying to make you feel bad so he can have his cake and eat it. He doesn't love you or he wouldn't have cheated on you and gotten with this other chick.
Anonymous, I think he just wants you back and doesn't even realize that him doing this may be affecting you. He's not gonna know it's hurting you unless you say something.
Don't think he is trying to hurt you. If you grow up with doubt as the norm, cheating when you doubt creeps up on you so you do it against your better interest. Highly likely he is oblivious to it hurting you (as strange as that may sound)

I would continue going back after I cheated because... I could. They let me. They were mad and pissed but still loved me and let me back to many times it’s unbelievable to me.
