Why do people find calm and smart people boring?

Our society tends to promote extremes, and calmness is seen as the opposite of that. People who seek extremes often expect those extremes to be provided by others. The more we rely on others to provide for us, the less confident we are to provide for ourselves. Calm people tend to be less dependent on others providing for them. Don't concern yourself about what is pushed on us by social media. Just find what works well for you. Subtleties will always have a more enduring impact than extremes.

Unfortunately, society tends to promote conformity rather than uniqueness. By expecting everyone to fit the ideal, we just end up creating a society of people who feel defective. All types of people have a place in society. Never minimize yourself because you feel you are different. Just look at all the women who buy into social garbage and believe they are defective if they don't have big boobs. For every type of person, there are people who prefer and appreciate that type of person. See your value rather than feel defective.

Jesus Christ was calm and smart.


And, there are many world leaders and people throughout history who were very intelligent and had a calm demeanor.


I believe being calm and smart isn’t the issue. But, it’s having enough charisma, regardless of whether one is calm or smart.


With enough charisma, one can pair that with any combination of other traits and they will still be interesting.

Maybe because they are the opposite and can't seem to find anything in common

I guess that's only more common in younger folk cause they're more likely to want to look cool and want adventure. Someone with a more calm demeanor might not give off those vibes.
However as they grow and mature, the calm become more comfortable to be around.

I don't find them at all boring. I find the interesting. I find loud stupid people intolerable.

Because they can't be them! Yeah, kidding. Really a lot of people can't handle truths or change, so that is deemed as boring. Myself included.
