Option 1: shy, nerdy, and intellectual
Option 2: confident, athletic, and popular
I would also love to see an explaination!

As an introvert I get on well with introverts who are smart and thoughtful. Although sometimes I need someone more confident and outgoing to force me out of my shell (probably for a short term thing)
Discussions are always more interesting with introvert introspective types however.
I assumed nerdy guys would be less likely to use manipulation but in my experience that hasn't been the case!
Better not to judge a book by its cover.
In the long term though I think the shy nerdy types are more suited to my introversion.
At this point, I'd say option 2. I used to want option 1, but that was mainly just because I thought that that would eliminate his chances of cheating. But that turns out to be untrue. So I might as well go out with the athletic, confident guy who I know not to have high expectations for in terms of deep understandings about being shy.
Would you say you value the traits listed in option 2 more than the traits listed in option 1 when selecting a man?
You based your attraction towards someone for the wrong reasons. You were dating because you thought he would be safe and not cheat but cheating has nothing to do with being shy, and intelligent. Anyone can cheat if they want to jock or nerd, so if you actually like a smart shy guy for who he is, not because he's safe then only go for them.
actions speak louder than words. what women say out of their mouths is not always what they do or choose. observations should tell you option 2 >>>>>>> option 1
That's not what sexual harassment training traught me.
Why do they have to be inclusive? Athletes can also be valedictorians

I can't really choose one. My choice would be a guy who's in the middle. I've always found nerdy guys speak more to my friendship side, just because we have a little too much in common, and I think I need someone who would balance out my introversion. But popular/confidence is whatever. Great if he has it, it's fine if he doesn't. And shy is cute, as long as it opens up once we know each other.
Shy, nerdy and intellectual for sure, every single time, because that's what I am through and through. The "confident, athletic and popular" ones tend to be f**ked in the head as well, and will often use subtle manipulation to get what they want (which is never good).
I'm dorky and a nerd myself, so it's only natural I'd probably want someone that's similar to me.
Intelligent athletic and confident would be a better mix.
Shy, nerdy, intellectual, confident, and athletic.
What do you mean by popular? Like everybody likes him or he's a man ho?
. It’s more important on who I click with. I usually go well with an outgoing creative nerd. I’m a bit shy so I usually pair well with extroverts.
My current partner is kinda like option 1 I mean I wouldn't exactly say he's nerdy but he's really smart
i have not meet anyone over age of 18+ that still is ij the nerdy shy geek phase
Anyone's fine. I only consider if he loves me according to my expectations no matter which category he fall into
confident and intellectuals
Would you date a 5'3" guy?
ah yeah one more, taller than me
Option 1. I'm also introverted.

Shy girl, I can't deal with popularity
Confidence is always my choose.
