How do you approach a handsome man?

There’s a really handsome man attending my social meetup group on Saturday and I want to try to hit on him for dating purposes. How do I do that? I’m only pretty and slightly chubby and he’s probably used to women noticing him. He’s Autistic and he looks a bit like Thomas Magnum from the Magnum investigative series.

We’re not yet on speaking terms, as I’ve only just seen his photo on the meetup activity site. He’s on the same guest list as I am, so I have to approach him.
