How do you approach men nicely?

I’m approaching a hot guy this weekend in my meetup group and I have to talk to him and I’m not sure what to say, as I’ve got Asperger’s and it’s been many years since I’ve approached men in person and I’m bad at flirting. Is it ok to introduce myself and my friends and to ask how his week went and see how it goes from there? He also knows I’ve asked questions about approaching him on here, so I feel slightly awkward too. How do I handle this? I’m new to such a situation.

Just be fun. Talk to him, ask him how’s his day. Don’t do too much. You can give him good eye contact that works. Wear something that would impress him but also something that you love wearing. I think just being a good listener is amazing, that’s most important.

Yes, you are on the right track. Introduce yourself, talk to him about the meetup. Bonus if can make up an excuse to get his number so you can talk to him some more outside of the meetup. Like gee, I brought this new picture frame and I don't know how to hang it up. Can you come over and help me with that? Feel free to adjust it to your taste and what you are comfortable with. I think if you just slip into an existing conversation or come up with something you can ask the person, that is always a nice approach.

I described myself and I’m the only woman on the guest list fitting that description, so he guessed it was me.

simply write things down prior to meeting for example introduce yourself then ask things like "are you close to your family" or "are your parents still married" etc. the key thing to see when talking is make eye contact 👁️ 👀
