Why do some women have relationships with men who are below their intelligence and education level, but very masculine? Are those women irratonal?

Since when being knowledgeable and intellectual means being a nerd? And you can be a "nerd" and still go to the gym and still be a mentally tough person.

I used the term nerd to make you understand, interestingly women tend to have average intelligence, while men are likely to be extremely smart or stupid. Yes a man can be a 'genius bruiser', but it's fairly rare combo, as it hard to be good at everything.

I was not referring to looks, but to masculinity. Di Caprio in Titanic was better looking than Jason Statham. Yet Jason Statham seems more masculine.

Why would you think they’re irrational? Sounds like a defence mechanism.

Because if intelligent, well-read and well-spoken women rationalise what makes a good partner, intelligent, well-read and well-spoken men like them are a long-term good match, although they are not that masculine. If they don't rationalise their choices, they would prefer a more masculine taxi driver who doesn't read books, didn't go to university, doesn't speak well, but has a very masculine energy.

That statement in itself isn’t very intelligent (if you’re older) or experienced (if you’re younger). People without degrees can still be smart and successful, people with with degrees can still lack common sense. All sorts of people from all sorts of backgrounds can be different things. If women are drawn to a man, as a woman I can tell you it’s for more than just looks, it’ll be more to do with other positive personality traits.

Women tend to look at a broader picture than men because they’re more bearded towards thinking long term than men. You’re missing out a lot of important variables in your assumptions.

Is a taxi driver more socially successful than someone with a corporate job? Yeah, he could have been born smarter, but doesn't possess the knowledge and skills of someone who has a degree. I was not referring to looks, but to masculine energy. An intelligent person seems to me to be a very good match in the long run because one can learn and grow a lot with someone like that. The intelligence and knowledge is also passed to children.

Firstly, are these actual people you’re comparing or unrealistic extremes for the sake of argument?

Of he truly was dumb I doubt an intelligent woman would choose him because she WILL be thinking about qualities her children will share. Something tells me there’s much more going on here than just being reduced to such stereotypes. Compassion and social skills are also high qualities.

I don’t think that example reflects reality though. There’s be something about the guy she chooses that are good character qualities. It wouldn’t all just be about looks.

Women don’t look into intelligence when picking a partner. It isn’t important to them. They might even prefer a dumb guy because it’s easier to control him.
