Does a 4 year age gap really feel like a difference for an older man?

I’m dating this guy who is 32 and I’m 28. Sometimes he’ll say things like, “when you’re my age ___” and compare to someone my age or like even during sex sometimes he has called me little girl, and just the dynamic overall feels like he thinks I’m younger. I do have a younger looking face as I’m still mistaken for being a senior in high school and get young men asking me out but mentally I’m definitely mature and don’t act like I’m a little kid. I didn’t think 4 years difference was anything tbh. I dated guys 10-15 years older than me so to me he actually seems young..

To me tho. That wouldn’t feel like a major deal. You’re both adults. It’s not like he’s had tons more life experience than you. And just the small bit you said in your question, makes it sound like he’s the younger one (maturity wise)…

Yeah… I thought so too haha. I’m also further along in my career then him too, I don't know if it makes him feel better? Oh well.. it isn’t a huge bother, I think it’s kinda cute but yeah

Yeah. It very well could just be an ego thing. If you’re ok with it, you could consider teasing him back about it if that’s your style.
