Are Age gaps of 9/10 years a matter?

Guys, i actually have a crush on my neighbour for a long time. When i first saw him, i really couldn't guess that he was actually 9/10 years older than me. He was a university student & i was in 9th grade then. The age gap seems pretty inappropriate to some of my friends i've talked with. Is it somethings bad to have crush on a person who is 9/10 years older than me?(that's why i've not dared to talk with him)

It's totally normal to have crushes on guys like 10 years older then you, I had them too in middle school and highschool. But there is a diffrence between having a crush and willing to date them. You shouldn't even try dating him untill your 18. u just gotta admire from the distance babes😞

Thanks for ur opinion. But i wasn't that much underaged. Like i was 15+by then. So isn't it pretty normal to have a crush in that age? Actually I don't know at all. Probably it would have been great if i was a little more matured
