Is a 10-11 year age gap big?

im 31 and he is 42,... He wanted babies right after marriage and talk about biology and all that saying due to our age he wanted kids to happen fast in his life, I myself did not want children or in the future for sure, so we broke it off.

I feel that I could still wait to have kids even till 40 or after I seen a lot of women get pregnant even in there late 40s. Should I date a guy my age? Would a guy near my age suit me? Like if I did marry a guy my age and spent some years together I could possibly change my mind about having babies...

I wanted a date a gut who was aged but it turned our he was extremely cautious about having kids and I didn't feel that way about kids...

I think in the US we got age gaps that range from as little as 1 year to as much as I think the largest was like 50 or 60 years age gap but I gotta stress thats and exception. XD.
