Lovely question, Asker. I would say... realistically it "should" be no more than 5 years, but with some exceptions, I'll stretch it out to 10 maybe 12 years.
It really depends on the individuals. You can have a 20 year old woman dating a 30 year old man. You can have a 40 year old man dating a 30 year old woman. The list goes on.
As long as both parties are over 18, then age gap after that only becomes just a number. Adults are adults.

If it's legal, and both people are serious about each other, and are compatible, I don't think it should be an issue.
I think a good question to ask oneself in order to determine a position on this is "would I want my daughter to date or marry someone up to 15 years older than her"? If you can answer "yes" or "no" with a logical explanation; that's your position on age gaps.
you should not date a man more then ten years older then you ! for men older then this age maybe up to no good with you ! like scam you out of money , get you to pity them and force their intentions on you and so forth ! it is best to stick with men no older then 10 years older then you for your safety sake
It’s fine in theory for you to date a 30 yr old (as long as it’s not illegal where you live), but be VERY careful. A lot of them only want sex and will lie to you to get it.
The rule of thumb is half your age plus seven as the youngest which would be socially acceptable to date. By that you'd have to be at least 22 to date a 30 years old.

You ask one question, but you imply another.
The question you ask is how big the age gap should be. The question you imply is how big the age gap could be.
The gap that is should be is the older age minus 18. It is entirely up to the couple.
The gap that could be is the older age minus 18. It is entirely up to the couple.
I am older than my gf's mother and we are happy. She would marry me now if I asked her.You are an adult and should live your life based on what you want; not to please others. Marry him. He has more money, and he will work harder to please and keep you than a young guy would.
I personally believe after the age of 18, it depends upon ever individual person. What I believe is important is that both people are attracted to each other. Like they say love is blind, or age is only a number. BUT BEWARE, the large the age gap the harder it may make a relationship.
This is completely individual. Something you both have to be fine with. If the one you are seeing brings up your age difference... he's likely quite comfortable as he pretends to be. Personally I am indifferent to age difference beyond certain biological wants by her and myself. My larger criteria is that we enjoy one another. This is for you to be okay with. Not your friends.
Honestly age is just a number these days, I've met guys my age who only date 30-40, and I'm on the other side of the spectrum where I only date 18-21 lol, it's really just a preference
I think the furthest apart should be some 5 years, but, I believe that, if your type is around 30's you will like them the most as you grow older, imagine, you like them now, you'll like them when you have 25, you'll like them when you have 30 and even when your older than them. It's a preference and there's nothing wrong with that
A lot of teenagers these days like older men lol and I kind of understand why. Just saying, be mindful. It's smart to wait and see if your preferences remain the same in your 20's.
I'd say plus 6 years and 3 less but obviously never anything illegal or creepy which I realised after checking your age the older it gets the order it seems as it appears your looking for more of a parental figure than a relationship
If they're over 18+ and being a responsible adult (or trying to) with a mature mindset, then it's whatever.
But 17 and below is a no-no to me. Sorry but I'm not into jailbait still living with Mommy or Daddy.Older men might seem hot but ask yourself why they can't or won't date women their owm age.
I personally would go 10 years up and maybe 5 years down.
When I'm 40 I'm gunna be sitting on an 18 year old guy's face so... Lmao.
I say 1 or 2 years till you reach your 20s then maybe 5 or more and in your thirties maybe 10.
That's pretty big at your age, although it's legal where you live.
Nothing involving underage. But ultimately whatever you're both comfortable with
As long as the person is not a child or equivalent. Then the age gap should between the couple. But then the people should be more mature too.
I'm 54... I'll go 10 years younger than I. My current girlfriend is 7 years younger than I. I have to be able to relate to those I date.
Poo on your friends. Age difference doesn't matter. If they look good, hey, they look good!
As you are above your nation's age of consent, the age gap should be whatever the couple is comfortable with.
3-15 Years roughly but only with older men younger woman.
