The other night I went round to his and he randomly kept pinching me extremely hard, not in the context of sex or an argument. He also slapped me across the face. It was extremely random and I was left very confused.

We then walked to the pub and on the walk he kept randomly shoving me onto the road. At one point a car started honking horns at him. I started crying and ran away and he ran after me and apologised, saying he didn't know his own strength and didn't realise he was upsetting me, even though I'd said stop shoving me lots of times.

He was then really remorseful and nice for about 5 minutes before doing it again.

At the pub he started calling me a slut numerous times not in jest.

I Texted him after to say how it made me feel and he called me a "gimp".

He has been trying to text me as though nothing happened and its left me very confused and unsure of what to do.

Yeah, this guy is damn frightening. He certainly can be classified as abusive both physically and mentally. It is not good to let people treat you in this manner, Go far away and stay there. Block all points of contact.

Block him and never have contact with him again. If you don't establish boundaries , he'll contine the abuse. Abusive people treat you according to what you'll tolerate.
