My brother is with his girlfriend a lot and when he is at home i feel he is treating me like a clone of his girlfriend. He bought me for my birthday before a perfume that she wears. He also treats me like her when i cook dinner when he works from home.

Regarding your update -- thanks. You don't say how old you and him are, but my first advice is make him aware of what he's doing. Not excusing any behavior but he may be clueless. Particularly if she's his first serious girlfriend.

Yeah... my gut tells me that he's just operating on autopilot. Find a time when he's not distracted or with her and non-judgementally, non-accusatorily sit him down and say X, Y, Z and it bugs you. Ask him to stop/change.

I guess (as dad-like as this is going to sound) ignore it. In two ways. For the stuff like gifts, just let it go. Not worth the drama.
