So this girl i work with in a different department started to talk to me a little more serious and she initiated most of the interest. I was playing a slow game as I've known her for a year and so we started off by just hanging out a few times. We ended up talking about "dating" like over a month in. Everything was going well and then all of a sudden she was flaking on my dates. We would still text every single day. I never got a chance to talk to her about making things "official" because I was playing it slow. I feel like due to that she thought I wasn't in it to be in a relationship but I truly was interested. She did have a previous history of work relationship at a different job and mentioned to me how it didn't work out. So after a few weeks of not going out on a date but we were still texting, she texted me saying that she really did enjoy getting to know me but because of her past history she just wants to remain friends and not go into a relationship. Its been a few weeks and we still talk every now and then but I really want to talk to her in person and see what happened. Is it work talking to her and expressing my feelings again?

Don't you think I should start the convi by texting her an apologizing and then share your feelings? Might just make it smoother since like I said I work with her. Or see if she wants to hang out first then complete the date and then talk to her after our "date"?
