I'd be very careful about that. Keep the walls that separate respected until she's ready to get closer.

Even then, I'd be cautious. Getting too careless can lead to things. Even if the two agree fully to wanting to start mating like rabbits, that's no guarantee of happily ever after. And if everything does go wrong somehow, sex beforehand can make it that much worse.

I know it'd only take both letting their guard down once, and I'd be a fiendish addict for sex, even at the expense of productivity.

It's not even that my body craves it that much. The mind craves validation. The soul yearns for it. Every single stimulation act is another bird flipped against past tormentors and naysayers. Every sight of her enjoying it, another chance to feel valuable.

Every "don't leave me," a challenge to be who I always wanted to be. Every time she forgoes protection, a tease I could be the family man yet that life so far has denied.

You can get drunk on false hope. And having lived through that once, when the girl was just trying to con me, I fear to do anything that would tempt me to take that road again. To be lied to over all that again would be too much. Sharing a roof with a crush feels like an open invite to temptation.

Still, it's been 9 years since I've licked the roof of a woman's mouth. To go without those nights of passion almost a decade after indulging like crazy for two months? Hard to not feel empty. Temptation there is strong. But I can't settle for just any woman. Too many today are way too dangerous.
