She was eating McDonald's because she's hungry so we weren't talking at the time. there were two times I looked over and saw her look at me and smile. was she making fun of me?

If you are on a date with someone and they are smiling at you then they likely are approving you rather than laughing at me. You assuming that she is laughing probably gave off an unconscious negative vibe that she could not figure out. You should be careful and be super happy to see her next time etc...
