Girls, why she keep smiling to herself and staring at me?

For a while a girl in my gym always stares at me she walks past when I’m on the exercise bike. If she walks in and sees me she just stares. If I train in the weights room she stops In between her exercises and just watches me , then if I walk away she stares at me in the mirror.

However , one time she came in with a guy (think he’s her boyfriend). Then she started smiling to herself. Once when he was beside me I play American football so very big and lift weights for a long time.

Then she walked In front of me and put some weights back I was waiting for her to finish and started smiling to herself her boyfriend caught her and he seemed annoyed with her.

She could be crushing on you, but can’t make a move because of her boyfriend. It could also be a subtle way of her flirting with you. I would not read too much into it, especially if she has a boyfriend. Who knows though, that “boyfriend” could just be a guy friend, cousin, trainer, or training partner.

Yeah , that’s true it could be either boyfriend , family or just friends. But I don’t get why she keeps staring. For example, she walks in sees me and stares from a distance , then if I’m on a exercise bike she walks passed looks at me. Or if in the weights room she stops her workout and watches me train with weights through the mirror , then stares at me walking around if I have my back to her.

Then if she comes in with the guy she keeps smiling to herself. Like if he’s near and we are both training she smiles to herself. Or when she put weights away and was in front of me she was smiling to herself again. She only does the whole smiling to herself thing if he is in the gym with her. He’s only been in with her like two times. She normally comes in by herself

She could be dating him and trying to make him jealous by flirting with you. If that’s the case, I wouldn’t read much into it. Just let it be. But if you are into her, just ask her if that’s her boyfriend if it is, then you know that’s too bad but at least you know right. But if it’s not her boyfriend and you don’t have a partner or spouse. Then I say why not ask her out.

Yeah , it feels like she trying to make me jealous at times. I thought initially it could be that she thinks it makes me jealous and confirms I like her. Because I normally try to keep to myself and haven’t tried talking properly l.

she smiles to herself only and not at me. But once she left her stuff , and walked off. And I was laughing to my friend and she saw when walking back and looked upset by it.

But mainly she just staring ALL the time, she just stands and watches me. At first I looked at her abit but she would always stare and not smile

The laughing part could have been a miscommunication as she might have thought that you and your friend were laughing at her. Which from the sound of it is not the case. She is more likely than not trying to make the other persons jealous, but there is always the chance she brought the other dude in to make you jealous. Just can’t be sure until you ask.

Yeah , true. I stopped laughing as soon as she saw and I looked the other way. But I am very built I am an American footballer , her boyfriend is the opposite to me. He’s is very skinny.

But when I comes in I suppose I do show off a little bit and act abit more alpha. I don’t mean to, but because it feels like she assumes I’m jealous it makes me act like I’m jealous when I’m not. I did like her at first, she trains hard which caught my eye.

But then she just kept staring all the time, like she was trying to look for an opportunity to Smile or say hi but couldn’t. Then she would just stare and watch me train.

It bothered me because on two occasions when I saw her with the guy. She smiled to herself and I don’t even know why. First time , she walked in front of me to put dumbbells back and then smiled to herself when I looked to see if she got out of my way. Another time I was just minding my own business and training hard. I was training (maybe acting more masculine and macho) which I guess girls pick up on more easier.
