Thoughts on your girlfriend texting and talking to a “guy friend”?

Just genuinely curious how other people view it! in my opinion if she’s texting him or calling him more than u or just as much it’s a red flag endless I know him and they’ve been friends since kids. How do y’all view it?

I have a difficult time with opposite sex Bestie as they are attracted to one another or they would not be friends. Many Bestie are secretly crushing and hoping for a relationship, therefore, the relationship is always one martini too many away from sex.

Secondly, this individual gets the emotional aspect of what should be held between the boyfriend and girlfriend. Choose what is important and if best friend does not understand and is incapable of hanging out until needed to pick up the pieces from the "break-up" then probably not a friend after all.

As a girl with close guy friends I can tell you that's not really a red flag. If they have a platonic relationship then it should be fine. If I have a best/close friend, I'm going to talk to them A LOT regardless of gender. They've known each other for a long time, they're close, they're friends, they're going to talk a lot. It's not right or healthy to try isolating your partner from close people in her life especially if they've been around a lot longer than you have.

However, if they seem to have some kind of romantic relationship, I'd cut ties immediately.
