Does where you grow up affect who you are attracted to?

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area in one of the country’s most liberal cities and at the schools I attended everyone was friends with and dated everyone and it was very common for people to date different races. I have always found girls of all backgrounds attractive, including my own. It wasn’t until I got older that I learned pursuing the opposite sex outside your race is quite uncommon, not normal, and most people don’t and that really surprised me. I thought everyone was just attracted to everyone. Do you think where you grow up and who you grew up around influences who you find attractive?

To how people are in New Jersey , outgoing , talkative , respectful , I could go to a bar by myself and make friends with a bunch of strangers , When I moved to Wester Pennsylvania , people here are completely different then what I am use to , Not very talkative , more of a clicky personality meaning t people tend to only socialize with people they know but if you are a stranger they act like you don’t exist , it’s the weirdest thing , At first I thought it was just me but when friends of mine visited me from Jersey they experienced the same thing when I took them out to the bars , my friend come up to me and said What’s wrong with the people out here why are they so clicky , I cracked up and said tell me about it , Through the years it has gotten a little better with people but I still want out of her , this area is not really where I want to live anymore , every time o

The majority of people where you grew up dated and married their own race. You childhood experience was going to people's homes where the mother and father were the same race almost every single time. You saw kids with their parents every day and their parents were the same race almost every single time. Yet you make up some fantasy about your school days to make yourself feel your experience was different than it was. San Francisco, CA is 39.8% White. 34.6% Asian, 15.2% Latino. 5.2% Black. 4.1% Mixed, 0.4% Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, and 0.3% Native American. Only 4.1% of the local population was mixing. You just crafted a delusion to make yourself believe everyone was dating everyone because it's the propaganda message of your current religion. In reality 95.9% of people around you were doing the opposite of what you believed was occurring.

San Francisco self segregates more than most cities do. Officially it has it's own China Town and Japantown. Unofficially it has Black towns in the Fillmore District, Bayview, and Hunters Point and Chicano/Latino towns in the Mission District. In most areas of the south everyone lives together in the same neighborhoods with the exception of Blacks who tend to self segregate into small townships the majority of the time in places that were historically Black owned. All schools are integrated. Everyone tends to get along fine in the South.
