what if the guy I’m dating asks me to be his girlfriend but I don't know if he’s the type to buy me flowers and surprise me. And if that’s the case he’s definitely not for me.

Why do you think it’s trivial?

Certain gestures, such as buying flowers, indicates certain characteristic traits such as thoughtfulness and appreciation. So, I want to date someone who has those traits. That’s actually the opposite of “trivial”

I am sure that there are things men look for in woman, that woman might consider trivial bit is actually enlightening. Sometimes the small things people do or don’t do says a lot about who they are.
