"All The Cute People Are Taken" Do You Believe That?

by cute, here i mean someone who's not just good looking but also displays healthy boundaries and wholesome behavior and basically walking green flag lmao.

the cute girls at college were all seeing someone (and mostly straight 😭) and the cute guys, those are rare lol, they too either have girlfriends or boyfriends and i have to back the f off.

is it fair to assume if you're attractive and have decent personality, you're probably dating someone?

This is a neutral post. I'm not blaming anyone for rejecting me and I'm not saying "I'm all that". Thank you for understanding.

I believe that is generally true.


When someone is very attractive inside and out, they are always on someone’s radar. Someone is always trying to woo them, date them, or court them.


They can have their pick of many other high quality people, since quality attracts quality.


I can think of 3 scenarios in which they may be single:


1. Their standards are extremely hard to come by and they legitimately have not found someone who meets their standards, and they will not settle for less. (NOTE: With high-quality people, this part wouldn’t be superficial reasons like looks/money/status. This may be something more along the lines of finding someone they feel like they have a strong spiritual connection with.)


2. They recently broke up with someone and they are taking some time to do self-care and get over their ex. Then, once they are ready to find love again, they may find it quickly. (So the window of time you can find them will be very short.)


3. They have taken a vow of celibacy for an important reason or cause. (e. g. They are heavily involved in a cause they are willing to dedicate their entire life to. Or maybe their significant other died, and they refuse to move on, because they want to be loyal even after death.)

I’ve always been taken. And when I’ve broken up with someone, usually I’d take 6-12 months or more at least to just focus on myself and intentionally not date anyone.

Then, when I would feel ready to date again, I would usually find someone in under 3 months, and enter into another long-term multi-year relationship.

I’m currently happily taken been in my current relationship of 4 years.

I think it’s not too hard to find someone compatible if you’re well-connected and high quality.

Unless you’re looking for super high ultra compatibility, then it may take longer to find a good match.

Trust me when I say that everyone has their own definition of what they find "cute".
So that means that there's always gonna be some potential partners with the ingredients that YOU consider cute.

One detail though, there is no perfect match or perfect partner.

So you redefined “cute”? So what I think you mean is just a basic girl, who is also attractive. Like the ones you’d expect to live a regular life, married with kids, picket fence type life.

Well, most of these women live identical lives so yeah, they probably are in a relationship, not all, but a lot are. If they are a wholesome woman, they probably want to meet a man a wholesome way, like at a Bible study or something.

Maybe it’s the type of woman you’re looking at, maybe stop looking at a specific type of cookie cutter woman and broaden your perspective.

Maybe not all. But most. I'm 36 now, and I'd say most of the hot girls I grew up with lost their virginity by 10th grade at the latest. And the ones that got married did so by age 28 at the latest (though most around age 24-26).

Being a low number of attractiveness doesn't mean you're a bad person, and it doesn't mean you're worthless. It's just an observation of someone's phenotype, which is based on their genotype.

@anon1903 Assigning numbers is a more fair way of doing things, in my opinion. It's more precise. Because if you call someone a 5, at least they know that they are not a 2. That should be reassuring at least somewhat.

This is the saying of people who have been rejected too often. It's not really a problem to start a relationship if you aren't hideous but it's problematic to deal with pathology in relationships without the filtering effect of infatuation. People who fall in love easily like they call their infatuation have it easier to deflect the reality.

No I don't. I believe many people fear rejection due to having expectations. I also believe it's much easier to meet a partner after making some friends. Whenever you meet one you like & get rejected laugh it off & see it as an oppurtunity to expand your social circle. Ok, she may be taken, but is all her friends also taken? Make a good impression & friends if possible & she may just tell her single friends about this really cute charming guy thats somehow single.
