If a boy that's calm and the girl is more active and likes to laugh and joke a lot would the relationship work? But they both share similar hobbies like reading and listening to music.

Sure, my wife and I have different personalities, general outlook, but similar interests and goals. I'm not trying to say it's smooth sailing, but anything worth working for takes some hard work to get going.

You're never going to meet someone "perfect" whether in a general sense, or in a for you way. Figure if you can slot some of that in easily, then working on the rest together is more probable and simple.

Im calm. Wife is anxious. I like outdoors. Wife refuses to sleep in a tent or cabin. I’m sporty, she’s a homebody. I’m terminally happy, she’s a bit sour. However, our sense of humor, taste of music and movies, favorite foods, sarcasm, political views, spirituality, social aptitude, and libidos match great. So we have very different personalities, but share the same hobbies (media obsession). We’re hitting 8years this year
